Pass the WDAD Flag: World Tour
World Delirium Awareness Day Flag
Over 100 individuals and organizations signed up to participate in the original Pass the WDAD Flag campaign. Starting its journey on World Delirium Awareness Day 2023, the flag began its journey around the world, with each participant taking a picture with the flag to show their commitment to reducing delirium. The goal of the campaign was to raise awareness around the importance of preventing, recognizing and treating delirium, and to encourage people around the world to work together to reduce its impact.
Unfortunately, the original World Delirium Awareness Day (WDAD) flag that was created in 2023 has been lost. Rather than recreate a single official flag, we see this as an opportunity to grow something even more meaningful: locally led WDAD flag campaigns around the world. We invite regions to create their own World Delirium Awareness Day flag and use it as a visible symbol of commitment to delirium awareness.
Create Your Own WDAD Flag
There is no single required design. We encourage creativity and local expression.
The only requirement is that the flag clearly includes the words:
“World Delirium Awareness Day”
Beyond that, the design is completely up to you.
Your flag can reflect:
Your community, region, or organization
Local languages, cultures, or symbols
Messages of awareness, prevention, or person-centred care
Share Your Flag With the Global WDAD Community
If you create a WDAD flag or start a local flag campaign, we’d love to hear from you.
Please send us:
Photos of your flag
A brief description of where and how it’s being used
A link to your campaign (if applicable)
We will feature and link to submitted photos and campaigns on this website to help showcase global participation and inspire others.
Join an Existing Flag Campaign
If you’re located in one of the regions below, you may wish to join an existing WDAD flag initiative:
These campaigns welcome participation from individuals and organizations within their regions.
A Growing Global Movement
World Delirium Awareness Day is a shared, international effort. By encouraging locally created flags, we hope to:
Increase visibility of delirium worldwide
Support regional ownership and leadership
Celebrate diverse approaches united by a common goal
Whether you start a new flag campaign or join an existing one, your participation matters.
Let’s make delirium visible — together.
